1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Orion & Taurus, LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as “Master Your Ship” (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Master Your Ship”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the website located at masteryourship.com and any related content, downloads, newsletters, scheduling tools, forms, and communications (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and consent to the practices described in it. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Services.
This Policy applies only to information collected through the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we link to but do not control, or to the engagement-specific terms between Master Your Ship and clients who have entered into a separate written services agreement.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide. Information you submit through forms, communications, scheduling tools, downloads, newsletter signups, account creation, or other interactions — including, but not limited to, name, email address, business name, business size, role, phone number, and the substance of your inquiry.
Information collected automatically. When you access the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect device, browser, network, and usage information, including IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, approximate location, pages viewed, time on page, referring URLs, and similar data, including through cookies and similar tracking technologies. See our Cookie Notice for detail.
Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from analytics providers, email service providers, scheduling platforms, advertising networks (if used), publicly available sources, and other third parties that help us operate or improve the Services.
3. How We Use Information
We use information for any lawful business purpose, including but not limited to:
- Operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the Services;
- Responding to inquiries and fulfilling requests you submit;
- Providing content, downloads, newsletters, and other communications;
- Contacting you in the future with information, education, marketing, and promotional materials we believe will be of value, including communications about our and our partners’ content, services, and offers;
- Personalizing content and recommendations;
- Conducting research, analytics, and product development;
- Detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- Complying with applicable law and legal process;
- Enforcing our agreements and protecting our rights;
- Any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection.
By using the Services, you consent to receive communications from Master Your Ship for the purposes described above. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at the address in Section 13. Transactional communications necessary to operate the Services or fulfill your requests may continue.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. As that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and comparable state privacy laws, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may share information as follows:
Service providers. We engage third parties to perform services on our behalf — including email delivery, analytics, hosting, scheduling, payment processing (where applicable), security, customer relationship management, and similar functions. Service providers receive only the information needed to perform their services and are bound by contractual obligations.
Business partners and affiliated service providers. We may share information with carefully selected business partners and affiliated service providers — including but not limited to complementary advisory firms, financial professionals, exit and succession advisors, legal counsel, fractional executive networks, operational tooling providers, and similar parties — when we believe doing so will provide additional value to you. Sharing under this paragraph is for a business purpose and is not a sale under the CCPA, CPRA, or comparable state privacy laws.
Professional advisors. We may share information with our own legal, accounting, insurance, and other professional advisors as needed for them to perform their services for us.
Legal compliance and protection. We may disclose information when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable law, legal process, or government request; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Master Your Ship, our users, or others.
Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, dissolution, sale of all or substantially all of our assets, or other corporate transaction (a “Business Transfer”), information may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity. Such transfer does not require your prior consent. We will provide notice in such cases as required by applicable law.
With your consent or at your direction. We may share information for any other purpose with your consent.
Aggregated and de-identified information. We may use and share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for any lawful purpose, including research, product development, marketing, and reporting.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Notice at masteryourship.com/cookie-notice. You can manage cookie preferences through our cookie consent banner or your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Services functionality.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, applicable law may give you certain rights with respect to your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information; to opt out of certain disclosures; and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We honor verified requests to the extent required by applicable law.
To exercise these rights, contact us at the address in Section 13. We will verify your identity before responding and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We may decline a request as permitted by law.
To opt out of marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contact us. To opt out of analytics cookies, see the Cookie Notice.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as we deem necessary to operate the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by category and use.
8. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Users
The Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and in other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Data protection laws in these jurisdictions may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Services, you consent to such transfer and processing.
10. Children
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under thirteen (13). We do not knowingly collect information from children under thirteen.
11. Third-Party Sites and Services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by a new “Last Updated” date.
